Our Eleven Month Old

  Our precious Ashilene turned 11 months on April 16th.  I can’t believe she’ll be 1 in less than a month!!!!  Where does the time go?

Ashilene continues to get bigger and stronger every day.  She’s got powerful legs that she gives quite a workout in her Jenny Jump Up!

She also loves bouncing in the Exersaucer at Lolo & Lola’s house.

She has even tried to use her powerful legs to climb up the slide!

 

One of Ashilene’s favorite things to do is read her board books.  She’s actually pretty good at turning the pages now.

I keep a bin filled with her board books and some other toys on our bed and she LOVES taking out the books and spreading them all over the bed.

Another thing Ashilene likes to do is pull the phone off the hook and listen to the Operator tell her, “If you’d like to make a call, please hang up and try again.”

Ashilene has also developed a fake cry that she uses to whine whenever things don’t seem to be going her way.

Ashilene now has four teeth poking through on both her upper and lower gums.  You can see some of them in this picture.

With so many teeth, Ashilene feels that she is beyond baby food.  Now she only wants big people food.  Some of her favorites are apples, oranges, ham, brown rice and Ritz crackers.

In addition to saying, “Mama”, “Dada” and “Daddy”, she now also says “Num”.  We think she is trying to say “Yum” because she most often says it when she sees Mommy or Daddy eating something that she thinks must be yummy.  She’ll come right up to us and look at us with big, imploring eyes and pleadingly say, “Num?”  How can you refuse that face?

We just love our eleven month old!
